Covid-19 Testing: Frequently Asked Questions

We have provided answers to our most-frequently asked questions below. Please download our User Manual if you have further questions or call our Customer Service team on 044 966 2456.

If you are booking for 5 people or less, please use our website to book your test appointment. All bookings for 6 or more can contact our Customer Service team directly on 044 966 2456 to book. Our staff will be more than happy to answer any existing booking queries and appointment changes over the phone.

Bookings must be made by adults over the age of 18, but children can be tested. Identification must be proven by a photo ID or birth certificate.

Different countries and airlines have different testing requirements, but PCR testing is the most widely accepted form currently (May 2021). We advise that you check the testing requirements of your airline and/or country being visited ahead of travel, as these vary from country to country. The situation is changing daily so check for updates close to travel and ahead of booking your test to ensure compliance and travel eligibility.

*Please bear in mind our Standard PCR Test results take up to 24 hours, or slightly longer during times of high demand.

We require that you fill in your passport details if you are travelling abroad. It is also more likely you will require a PCR test if travelling abroad, whereas a Rapid Antigen test may suffice for domestic travel or work in Ireland. It is your responsibility to know the correct test you need at time of booking.

Once you have booked your test online or over the phone (for bookings of 6+) you will receive a confirmation email. Please print this email & bring with you to your appointment, or you can have it ready on your smartphone when you are checking in. Be sure to check your spam mail for your confirmation email. We also require photo I.D. such as a passport or driving license. If you cannot prove identity, we cannot test you.

Our tests are administered by our RTP Testing healthcare professionals who have all been trained in swabbing patients.

The test itself only takes a few minutes. Depending on traffic at the centre, your appointment from start to finish should take no longer than 15 minutes.

Your results will be emailed to the email address you provide at the time of booking.

You will receive the results for the Rapid Antigen Test by close of business on the same day as your test. We will email your results to you. Standard PCR test results can take up to 24 hours or slightly longer in times of high demand.

Otherwise, the full test fee will be charged.
